Talking Therapies

Talking therapies can help a person deal with many different issues that can be encountered throughout life.  Whether it is dealing with a difficult event in life or wanting to overcome a barrier that may be holding you back from fulfilling your potential; by talking about thoughts and feeling that may be having a negative impact on mood, attitude and behaviour, worries can be calmed, confidence can be improved and life can approached with renewed energy and focus.


Coaching is about “the now and the future”. Developing confidence & ability in a person to enable them to move forward in a positive manner in the areas of their life where they seek positive change. Coaching is about breaking down barriers that prevent this change from happening & creating the ideal environment for positive action to take place. It is a totally holistic approach that looks at the present and sets goals for a successful future.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy based on modifying everyday thoughts and behaviours, with the aim of positively influencing emotions.  It is commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems.  CBT deals with issues that are current, rather than focusing on past issues. It looks for practical ways to improve a persons state of mind on a daily basis and works on breaking negative thought cycles.

NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)

You could think of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) as a user’s manual for the human brain.  Your brain constantly receives vast quantities of information just like the hard drive of a computer.  Using NLP tools and techniques to effectively process and respond can result in positive outcomes, such as:

  • Building rapport & successful relationships
  • Improved communication
  • Successful sales and marketing strategies
  • Successful management of others
  • Overcoming barriers, difficult behaviours and attitudes
  • Effective planning and organisation
